Never Stop Dreaming

What are your dreams? What would you like to do, but feel is impossible? What lights you up? It’s never too late to begin. This is just a quick post to give you a boost of inspiration and remind you to take a moment to think about what your heart really desires.
What do you want to experience? Who do you what to be? A great exercise is to start a journal where you write down visions everyday. Ask your yourself the question; “what do I want to be, do and have?” Or you can also ask, “if anything was possible, if I had infinite time, resources, money and abilities, what would be my heart’s desire?”
By thinking about this question with the limitations removed, we free ourselves to truly go beyond the limitations of the mind and enter into the true desires of the heart. So often limitations can be overcome, the moment we begin to believe that something is possible, it becomes possible. At one time, running the mile in under 4 minutes was a huge limitation – no one was able to do it. But the moment the first person broke the 4 minute mile (Roger Bannister), it suddenly become possible for so many others – the mental barrier was broken and more people were able to believe in their ability to achieve that dream. Yes, it takes work and yes, not everyone will achieve it, but some do!
I have a deep believe that we are all born with a gift and a purpose in this life – if you are given the desire to achieve a dream, somewhere inside you also have the ability to achieve it. You may have to remove many mental limitations to achieve it, but it is in you. The first step though is to simply figure out what it is that you truly desire in your heart and the only way to do that is to ask the question – “if anything was possible, what would I want?” Or, “if I had infinite wealth (making a living was no issue), what would I want to give back to the world?” Take the time to write in your journal, you will find that you may discover desires and dreams that you didn’t know you had. I recommend doing it everyday for at least a few weeks to a month. I did and I still do! We are always evolving and growing and our dreams can grow and evolve too. If you don’t have a dream, you can’t have a dream come true! This is only the first step, but it is a step you need to take. You need to form a vision for your life based on your heart’s desires from within, not based on what society or well meaning friends and family have told you. Only you can truly answer this question for yourself. Good luck!
